Innovational training of „Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for OCD“

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the training course in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for OCD, by Fabrizio Didonna, PhD.

This program represents treatment innovation aimed at accomplishing significant clinical and life improvement in persons with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It integrates the tools of cognitive-behavioral therapy with the clinical application of mindfulness and compassion practices.

The treatment protocol is based on the long and rich clinical experience of the author, as well as on research results, and is the first such program that is standardized and manualized  (Didonna F. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. New York, Guilford Press, 2019). Workshops/courses on “MBCT for OCD” treatment program have taken place in several countries and institutions, Harvard and Oxford Universities, among others.

It is our honor to welcome as a speaker the very author of this method. Dr sci Fabrizio Didonna is an internationally known clinical psychologist from Italy, a university professor and educator, highly experienced in both mindfulness-based treatment and clinical work with the patients at the hospital department for OCD that he is leading. He is the author of numerous scientific papers, internationally presented lectures, as well as books. He is, as well, the editor of the first manual for the clinical application of mindfulness-meditation (Clinical Handbook of Mindfulness, Springer, 2009), translated into five different languages. Dr Didonna is the founder and the president of the Italian Institute of Mindfulness (IS.I.MIND) and his commitment to this method is reflected in working with over 2000 patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. As a result of his twenty-year commitment, he founded the MBCT for OCD Center in Vicenza, Italy,  with additional centers established in Israel and China.

You can find out more about the MBCT for OCD method, courses, centers, and the author,  at the  www.mbctforocd.com
